interesting way you make your models. i do it differently. i start from the side view and just extrude edges of a plane to get the shape of the gun. then i extrude again to make it 3d. if i were you, i'd model the top part separate from the stock so its more 3 dimensional.

i got my laptop back! but somebody stole my copy of windows 7! D: i sent it with my laptop cause the installer would always fail. i put that as a problem. when i got the report of what they fixed it didnt even mention windows 7 and the box didnt have my windows 7 dvd.

ok thanks. i was thinking of adding the indents on the pump and trigger but it seemed like it would just waste polys. oh, and i found out i dont need dropbox installed, i just need to go on the site and i can do everything, it just takes some time to download and upload. i'll upload it.

Finished SPAS12 around 1500-1600 polys can make it higher if you want. and i didnt post pics of it but the other side has a shell eject slot and theres a slot underneath the gun to insert shells

oh and duke, can you speed up the l96 fire animation? its a bit slow. it should only take 2-3 frames for it to jolt backwards and another 3-5 for it to move back to the original position. also, a modeling error, there is some wrongly faced normals that you can see when the bolt is pulled back and the gun is reloading. lastly, i have a replica (airsoft) L96. the way you hold it is your left hand thumb goes in the little indent on the side of the gun, not under it. i'll upload a video or something of how it looks. i like it though. there's just one thing i'd like to change of the model, the scope mounts. could i change those?
EDIT: that reminds me, i have a boom mic that i can use to record the reloading sounds so we have realistic sounds for pulling the bolt back etc.

I can't wait to see your maps mexi they sound awesome xD i'd like to know somethings about them, how big are they and are they for pc or psp? how many players do you think could play on one map? (quake is 8, but we could change it to 12 or 16, we could possibly even make it depend on the map how many players, just your decision tho)

oh and duke, i realized something. i dont think you animated the way a m4 reloads right. from what i've seen there isnt a slide on the side. its a flap that flips down when a shell ejects. you pull a thing on the top instead. you might want to look into that.

that looks cool! how many polys is the mac10? it looks great. if you wanted you could add just the little bumps and small details, but it looks good already. i'm going to make a SPAS12 when i can get my old pc back, so dont make one of those! lol

i think it's just blender. most model's i've seen in blender always have black spots when the "set smooth" is used. you could also make sure you dont have any overlapping faces. that usually screws up renders too.

Ive started working on a map that is up in the mountains. An Urban mountain map. there is a small village and a ski area. I will post pics later. I`m basically done. Do you want me to send it via email or sendspace here?
that sounds cool. are you a part of the team or just helping out? I modeled, animated, and coded in a shooting target and a melee target. However, they don't seem to show up in our start map. I'll have to investigate the problem further.
ok. what do you think about this test map? i'm not sure if it was a good idea or not to place every testable thing except AI into one map in terms of FPS. i guess we'll just have to find out.

how many poly's are you trying to get with the ak? right now we have one thats about 3-4,000 with hands. after handling a replica of an ak47 i realized i messed up the entire back and top parts. if you can make a better one we can use that or it could be for psp oh and i like the sniper FAL's are cool so i can't wait to see that finished
